Brief

I was contracted by Seaton Rail, a UK nationwide Rail services provider who supply to the likes of National Rail, to design and develop a new website for them. Seaton Rail required a site that effectively showcased their vast array of services, allow potential clients to get in touch quickly and allow their team to easily update the website.

Solution

An existing website had been serving them well for a number of years but the company wanted to take their online presence to the next level and start from scratch with a new fresh and modern design.

Via workshops held with the leadership of the company, analysis was performed on existing analytics to understand what was most important to their user base. This were then coupled with what content the company want to showcase to frame how best to structure the information architecture of the new site. We ended up with a clean UX that effortlessly showcases their collection of 100+ courses and services on offer.

Features required integrating with 3rd party providers such as MailChimp and Google maps. A design was chosen that reflected the ethos of the brand and how they are seen within the Rail industry as someone who is trusted and depended upon.

WordPress was chosen as the CMS of choice due to the flexibility and ease of use it provides. This choice allowed us to easily realise the design we had formulated.

Due to the more cleaner UX implemented, a careful SEO migration on a link by link basis was implemented to ensure none of the brand’s SEO was lost when going live.

Outcome

The website went live on time and on budget and has been a major success for the company.

Feedback

I identified our website was outdated and in desperate need of a makeover, I personally commissioned Daniel based on recommendations made to me.

Dan went above and beyond my expectations, he didn’t give us a makeover he completely redesigned our website, giving branding and an easy to navigate website. The new site is very professional in appearance and easy to navigate, throughout the project Dan was in constant touch with my team members and myself providing us with a progress report and templates of what the new site would look like.

Tight timescales were involved and Daniel delivered the site within the timescale and within the budget. I am personally delighted with the end project, but before going live a short survey was conducted involving our Clients and our employee’s the results was amazing.

I personally would whole hearted recommend Daniel for all you IT projects, he is genuine, possessional and most important delivers high quality projects on time and within budget.

A perfect gent, thankyou Daniel.
